Prestashop 1.7: discover how to install a new theme

The installation of a Prestashop theme is quick and easy: it takes a few minutes!

It is the best solution to customize and improve the design of your ecommerce.

Install from computer

This is the native main solution:

1. Sign in to your e-commerce Prestashop as administrator
2. Go to Improve > Design > Theme & Logo
3. Click “Add new theme” at the top right of the page
4. Inside the box called IMPORT FROM COMPUTER, click “Add file”
5. Choose the .zip file from your computer
6. Click “Save”
7. When the upload finished you will be redirected to the themes page
8. Click “Use this theme”
9. Follow every step of the installation
10. Finish the installation
11. Follow every step of our Documentation (zip/doc/) to setup everything properly

Install from FTP

If previous solution fails, you can follow these steps:

1. Use your favourite FTP programme and upload our zip to
   /your-online-installation/themes/
2. Login your Administration
3. Go to Improve > Design > Theme & Logo
4. Click “Add new theme” at the top right of the page
5. Scroll the page to the box called IMPORT FROM FTP
6. Use the dropdown and select the archive (.zip)
7. Click Save
8. Follow every step of installation
9. Finish your installation
10. Check that your theme is enabled (Improve > Design > Theme & Logo)
11. Follow every step of our Documentation to setup everything properly
